Reporting to the Chief of Brand, you will collaborate closely with cross‑functional marketing teams to execute integrated campaigns and efficiently drive company‑wide growth aligned with brand objectives.

What you’ll be doing

By combining advanced analytical skills with strategic vision, you will shape how Preply positions itself globally, responds to market trends, and ensures our product and brand achieve lasting market fit.

Research Leadership & Strategy
  • Define and own the quantitative research roadmap for marketing and strategic projects, aligned with company‑wide priorities.
  • Lead large‑scale initiatives such as efficiency studies (example), brand health trackers, audience segmentation, category sizing and campaign effectiveness research.
  • Develop scalable frameworks for measuring brand equity, market positioning, and communication effectiveness.
  • Monitor market and category trends, delivering insights that guide product vision, brand strategy, and long‑term market fit.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Corporate Strategy: Deliver insights that support market prioritization, investment cases, and executive decision‑making.
  • PR & Communications: Partner with PR to craft data‑led stories that enhance Preply’s reputation and media visibility.
  • Product & UX Research: Partner closely with UX research teams to connect market‑level insights with user‑level behaviors, ensuring Preply’s product experience aligns with broader market opportunities.
  • Embed research into campaign planning, investor narratives, and brand communications.
Communication & Influence
  • Translate complex research into clear, compelling insights for executives, marketers, and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver executive‑ready presentations and dashboards that inform strategy at C‑level and board discussions.
  • Act as Preply’s voice of quantitative insights in strategic forums, influencing how marketing and vision decisions are made.
Team & Vendor Management
  • Manage and mentor researchers/analysts, building a culture of excellence in quantitative methods.
  • Automate and apply AI‑powered tools to streamline research operations, accelerate insight generation, and improve data storytelling.
  • Oversee relationships with third‑party agencies and ensure high‑quality, cost‑effective delivery.
  • Set standards for methodology, data quality, and storytelling across internal and external research efforts.
What you need to succeed
  • 10+ years of experience in quantitative research, consumer insights, or marketing science, including team leadership.
  • Proven expertise in survey design, statistical modeling, segmentation, and experimental design.
  • Track record of influencing senior executives and shaping corporate/brand strategy through insights.
  • Strong experience managing research vendors and significant budgets.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills: ability to turn data into narratives that drive action.
  • Experience working in global, multicultural markets and with emerging tech trends (LLMs, AI, digital platforms).
