Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Senior Manager in Environmental Planning to lead environmental assessment and coordination for major UK infrastructure projects. You will guide consenting strategies, work with clients and regulators, and oversee multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Degree in environmental, planning or scientific discipline.
  • Significant experience delivering Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and environmental coordination for infrastructure projects.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Proven leadership and project management capability.
  • Chartered status and membership of relevant professional body (ISEP, CIWEM or IES) or commitment to achieve with our support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead environmental assessment and consenting strategies for major infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate environmental planning activities with clients, regulators and technical specialists.
  • Build trusted client relationships and lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects.
  • Support growth of the Environmental Planning team and contribute to strategic decisions.

As a Senior Manager within our Environmental Planning team, you'll lead environmental assessment and consenting strategies that enable major projects to move from concept to reality. From renewable energy and hydrogen schemes to water, transport and nationally significant infrastructure projects, your expertise will directly influence sustainable outcomes for communities, clients and the environment.

Working with leading organisations including National Grid, Environment Agency, Water Utilities, National Highways, Network Rail and HS2, you'll bring together multidisciplinary teams, build trusted client relationships and help deliver projects that make a lasting positive impact.

About The Opportunity

Our Water & Environment business is recognised as a leader in environmental consultancy, delivering innovative solutions across the UK and Europe.

We're looking for a passionate and experienced EIA professional to join our growing Environmental Planning team. In this role, you'll lead environmental assessment and coordination activities for major infrastructure projects, working closely with clients, regulators and technical specialists to drive successful outcomes.

You'll be part of a friendly, highly regarded team delivering projects across sectors including

Here’s what you’ll need
  • A degree in a relevant environmental, planning or scientific discipline
