Job description

Job description
Connect to your Industry

Deloitte's Engineering practice is at the forefront of transforming businesses by bringing together cutting‑edge tech programme delivery, quality assurance, and testing expertise. We empower clients to modernise their core business through our deep capabilities in application and infrastructure engineering, cloud strategy, transformation, and migration. Practitioners within this team continuously advance their expertise to deliver robust, innovative solutions, from initial strategy to implementation and optimisation.

Deloitte's Cloud Networking practice helps organisations transform how they connect, secure, and optimise their digital infrastructure in an increasingly complex and interconnected world. We work with clients across industries to define and deliver large‑scale network transformation programmes, combining deep technical expertise with leading on‑premise and cloud networking technologies to create resilient, secure, and high‑performing digital foundations.

We partner with clients to design, build, and deliver modern hybrid cloud networking solutions, leading the end‑to‑end journey from solution architecture through implementation, integration, and continuous optimisation. Our work spans hyperscaler cloud networking, SASE integration, Zero Trust architecture, cloud on‑ramp and transit networking, on‑premise LAN/WAN, OT/IoT connectivity and network automation/orchestration and critical integration points. We are passionate about hands‑on solution design and delivery, working directly with clients, engineering teams, and technology partners to build scalable, secure, resilient, and high‑performing network infrastructures that drive tangible operational efficiency and business value.

Leveraging market‑leading platforms including Cisco, HPE, Arista, Palo Alto, Zscaler, Fortinet and other leading network and security infrastructure technologies, we help organisations design and deliver modern hybrid cloud network solutions that enhance security, improve performance, ensure scalability, and unlock greater value through cloud‑native architectures, automation, analytics, and Zero Trust principles.

As part of our team, you will work on complex and high‑profile network transformation programmes, helping clients design, implement, and optimise modern hybrid cloud network solutions. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and technology partners to define network architectures, lead technical designs, and support successful implementation across on‑premise and cloud‑based network platforms. This is an opportunity to work with some of the industry's leading technologies and providers, delivering innovative networking solutions that create measurable value for clients and their operations.

Connect to your opportunity

As a Cloud Network Architect within Deloitte's Engineering practice, you will play a key role in designing and delivering next‑generation networking solutions for some of the world's leading organisations. Working across complex transformation programmes, you will help clients modernise their network infrastructure through a blend of on‑premise and hyperscaler cloud networking, SASE integration, Zero Trust adoption, and advanced automation. You will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and technology partners to translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient network architectures, taking ownership from solution design through implementation and optimisation.

As a Cloud Network Architect, you will be responsible for:
  • Design, implement, and manage comprehensive network architectures that seamlessly integrate on‑premise infrastructure with hyperscaler cloud environments.
  • Lead the strategic adoption and technical implementation of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and Zero Trust network principles to enhance security posture and access control.
  • Develop and optimise cloud on‑ramp and transit networking solutions to ensure efficient, secure, and scalable connectivity to and within cloud platforms.
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and ongoing management of robust on‑premise Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure.
  • Identify, engineer, and maintain critical network integration points to support business‑critical applications and services across hybrid environments.
  • Provide expert support and guidance for Operational Technology (OT) and Internet of Things (IoT) networking, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity for industrial and connected devices.
  • Support business development activities through solution shaping, proposal responses, RFPs, thought leadership, and the creation of demonstration environments.
  • Mentor and coach delivery team members while contributing to the growth of Deloitte's Networking practice through capability development, reusable assets, and industry insights.
