Job summary

Pacific Life Re is seeking a Manager, Medical Analytics, R&D in London to lead biometric risk modelling initiatives and develop assumptions for UK annuities. You will oversee data sourcing, modelling, validation and communication of results within the Medical Analytics and wider R&D teams.

The role requires strong problem solving, project management and stakeholder engagement, with collaboration across pricing, underwriting and product development teams.

Qualifications

• Qualified Fellow of the Institute or Faculty of Actuaries or other similar actuarial organisation; advanced qualification in a health-related subject (e.g. Masters/PhD in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Data Science or Health Economics)
• Strong analytical skills and independent problem-solving abilities applied in health-related contexts
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams in fast-paced settings
• Proficient in turning insights into practical outcomes
• Experience explaining complex technical issues to diverse audiences

Responsibilities

• Conduct analytical projects to support UK individual and enhanced annuities basis development, including project and stakeholder management
• Contribute to analytical projects in Medical Analytics or wider R&D team
• Engage in research initiatives and build relationships with health analytics networks
• Share knowledge within the team across health-related topics
