Job summary

Nscale seeks a Senior Manager, Internal Communications to shape how we communicate, connect and scale as a global business. Reporting to VP, you will craft programs and campaigns that guide the employee lifecycle across onboarding, performance, benefits and policy changes, partnering with the People team.

This hands-on role owns regional communications for UK, Europe and Asia-Pacific, aligns regional voices with US priorities, and builds manager enablement.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in internal or employee communications, ideally within a technology, high-growth or global business.
  • Experience partnering with People/HR teams across the employee lifecycle.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills to make complex topics clear, engaging and relevant.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing stakeholders more senior than yourself.
  • Real experience communicating across multiple countries, cultures and time zones, and a genuine instinct for when a global message will not work locally.
  • A practical, hands-on approach: comfortable building the plan and then doing the work yourself.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities at pace.

Responsibilities

  • Own internal communications across the employee lifecycle globally.
  • Build and run our manager communications layer: cascade toolkits, talking points, FAQ packs and briefing materials that help managers communicate well with their own teams.
  • Design onboarding communications that work at pace, so new Nscalers understand how we communicate and where to find what they need in their first week.
  • Develop culture and values communications, storytelling and recognition programmes that reflect who we actually are as we scale.
  • Act as the internal communications lead for the UK, Europe and Asia-Pacific, ensuring our teams outside the US are informed, visible and never last to know.
  • Be our on-the-ground communications presence at headquarters, with a real feel for what is happening in the building and what people are talking about.
  • Build standing relationships with regional office leads, site leadership and People partners, and bring what you learn back to the team.
  • Advise on sequencing and timing so global announcements land sensibly for every region, not just for the US.
  • Create regional content and support local leadership visibility, including for our sites in Norway and across Europe.
  • Lead communications planning for people-related and regional change, ensuring employees receive timely, consistent and thoughtful information.
  • Build messaging frameworks and toolkits that enable leaders and managers to communicate change effectively with their teams.
  • Handle sensitive and high-stakes communications with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Contribute to our company rhythm — all-hands, company updates, newsletters and intranet — with particular focus on making these work for a globally distributed audience.
  • Support major company moments and events, including coordinating regional participation in global moments.
  • Draft and shape messaging for senior leaders in your areas of ownership, and partner with leadership across the regions you cover.
  • Bring strong editorial judgment to everything the team publishes.
  • Track how communications are landing across your programmes and regions, and use what you learn to improve.
  • Contribute to employee listening, and make sure what matters to teams outside the US is heard and acted on.

Job description

Nscale is the GPU cloud engineered for AI. We provide cost-effective, high-performance infrastructure for AI start-ups and large enterprise customers. Nscale enables AI-focused companies to achieve superior results by reducing the complexity of AI development. Our GPU cloud bolsters technical capabilities and directly supports strategic business outcomes, including cost management, rapid innovation, and environmental responsibility.

We thrive on a culture of relentless innovation, ownership, and accountability, where every team member takes pride in their work and drives it with excellence and urgency. As an Nscaler, you'll build trust through openness and transparency, where everyone is inspired to do their best work. If you join our team, you'll be contributing to building the technology that powers the future.

The Role

Nscale is looking for a Senior Manager, Internal Communications to help shape how we communicate, connect and scale as a global business.

Reporting to the VP, Internal Communications, you will shape how we communicate with Nscalers across the employee lifecycle — from the day someone joins, to how their manager talks to them about performance, change and what the company is trying to achieve. Working hand in glove with our People team, you will build the programmes, toolkits and campaigns that turn a fast-growing headcount into a company that actually knows itself.

You will also be our internal communications presence at headquarters and across our regions outside the United States. As our business grows quickly in the US, this role makes sure our teams in the UK, Europe and Asia‑Pacific stay informed, visible and part of the story.

Our internal communications team is small, senior and deliberately unstructured. You will own specific areas outright, contribute to areas your colleagues own, and pick up whatever the company needs at a given moment — a last‑minute all‑hands, a policy that has to land well, a milestone worth celebrating. The scope below is where we expect you to start, not where we expect you to stay. This is a hands‑on role: you will set your own plans and then deliver them yourself.

What You'll Do

Employee Lifecycle & People Communications

  • Own internal communications across the employee lifecycle globally — onboarding, performance cycles, benefits, policy changes and People‑led programmes
  • Act as the primary communications counterpart to the People team, bringing communications thinking to their programmes early rather than at launch
  • Build and run our manager communications layer: cascade toolkits, talking points, FAQ packs and briefing materials that help managers communicate well with their own teams
  • Design onboarding communications that work at pace, so new Nscalers understand how we communicate and where to find what they need in their first week
  • Develop culture and values communications, storytelling and recognition programmes that reflect who we actually are as we scale

Regional & Rest‑of‑World Communications

  • Act as the internal communications lead for the UK, Europe and Asia‑Pacific, ensuring our teams outside the US are informed, visible and never last to know
  • Be our on‑the‑ground communications presence at headquarters, with a real feel for what is happening in the building and what people are talking about
  • Build standing relationships with regional office leads, site leadership and People partners, and bring what you learn back to the team
  • Advise on sequencing and timing so global announcements land sensibly for every region, not just for the US
  • Create regional content and support local leadership visibility, including for our sites in Norway and across Europe

Change Communications

  • Lead communications planning for people‑related and regional change, ensuring employees receive timely, consistent and thoughtful information
  • Build messaging frameworks and toolkits that enable leaders and managers to communicate change effectively with their teams
  • Handle sensitive and high‑stakes communications with sound judgment and discretion

Company Rhythm & Moments

  • Contribute to our company rhythm — all‑hands, company updates, newsletters and intranet — with particular focus on making these work for a globally distributed audience
  • Support major company moments and events, including coordinating regional participation in global moments
  • Draft and shape messaging for senior leaders in your areas of ownership, and partner with leadership across the regions you cover
  • Bring strong editorial judgment to everything the team publishes

Insight & Improvement

  • Track how communications are landing across your programmes and regions, and use what you learn to improve
  • Contribute to employee listening, and make sure what matters to teams outside the US is heard and acted on
What We're Looking For
  • Significant experience in internal or employee communications, ideally within a technology, high‑growth or global business
  • Demonstrable experience partnering with People or HR teams on programmes across the employee lifecycle
  • Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex topics clear, engaging and relevant
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing stakeholders more senior than yourself
  • Real experience communicating across multiple countries, cultures and time zones, and a genuine instinct for when a global message will not work locally
  • Experience building manager enablement or cascade communications from scratch
  • A practical, hands‑on approach: comfortable building the plan and then doing the work yourself
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities at pace
  • Comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities and a scope that will change as we grow

Nice to have: experience in a business with frontline, field or non‑desk‑based employees; additional languages relevant to our regions.
