Job summary

Airwallex is seeking a senior Financial Crime Compliance leader to oversee a team of analysts and conduct independent reviews across KYC, name screening and transaction monitoring. The role requires extensive FCC experience, strong analytical skills and the ability to drive process improvements in a fast-paced fintech environment.

The successful candidate will mentor analysts, ensure timely case resolutions and stay abreast of regulatory developments, while applying global compliance policies

Qualifications

• Degree or 8+ years in FCC space.
• Proven AML/CTF or fraud investigations experience.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
• Understanding of financial-crime risks and risk-based reviews.
• Sound judgment and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• FinTech/start-up experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and mentor a team of FCC L3 analysts, ensuring high-quality case resolution and SLA adherence.
• Review and resolve KYC, enhanced due diligence, name screening and transaction-monitoring cases.
• Assess customer profiles, ownership structures, business activities and transaction patterns.
• Conduct internal/external research and critically evaluate information from customers or stakeholders.
• Document rationale, evidence and follow-up actions for conclusions or recommendations.
• Identify financial-crime risks, recurring themes and opportunities to improve processes or controls.
• Apply local/global Financial Crime policies, maintain complete case records and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Stay updated on financial-crime risks/regulations and support related activities.
