A leading trade union in education is seeking a Senior Manager for Facilities & Property Management. This pivotal role includes developing the strategic property plan, managing refurbishment projects, and negotiating property sales and leases. Ideal candidates will have experience in leading office teams in a commercial property management setting. We are now seeking to recruit a Senior Manager: Facilities & Property Management to lead and manage the National Education Union's Facilities & Property Management department which has responsibility for diverse programmes of work including health & safety compliance, property management, Facilities & Despatch functions.
In this pivotal role you will develop the Union's strategic property plan and lead on all property issues, project managing refurbishment and capital investment projects and representing the Union in negotiations on the sale and purchase of buildings, negotiations with landlords and tenants concerning lease renewals, reviews & assignment.
Prospective applicants will need to have all the essential qualifications as outlined in the published role description and proven experience of successfully leading and managing an office with multi-functional teams to achieve agreed objectives in a commercial property management setting. They will also need to have experience of managing health & safety compliance programmes of work, building and developing effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Prospective applicants are also advised that your normal place of work will be the NEU office specified in this advert and that the NEU operates 'Blended Working Arrangements' for office-based staff, which means you will typically need to be based in the designated NEU office for 3 to 4 days a week (based on a full-time contract), with the remaining days based at home, and subject to business needs.
