Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All as a Senior Manager of Event Operations. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who wants to support the delivery of events that are accessible to all and provide a fundraising vehicle to many.

About the role

  1. Build and maintain high performing teams, developing colleagues through inspirational leadership, stretching performance objectives, coaching and feedback
  2. Responsible for the management of the event budgets, driving cost improvement and value for money
  3. Lead the development and implementation of project plans for the operational teams, to include resource allocation, risk and financial management
  4. Create and implement business plans to support project initiatives, new event opportunities and the strategic direction of the company
  5. Forward thinking approach to events, their growth opportunities and the risks that may be incurred as a result, implementing measures to mitigate
  6. Challenge all aspects of the events to consistently enhance the event experience
  7. Ensure a collaborative approach with information shared and readily accessible across all Run For All departments

About you

  1. A sound understanding of event planning and project management with significant demonstrable experience, ideally within a similar industry.
  2. 3+ years events experience in planning and delivery
  3. Proven ability to inspire, involve, motivate and lead teams through busy periods and those of rapid change
  4. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, build credibility, and collaborate effectively with employees, stakeholders and contractors at all levels (internally and externally)
  5. Demonstrable experience in budget planning and overall management of contractor, supplier and equipment costs
  6. Ability to think creatively and influence stakeholders both internally and externally
  7. Strategic thinker with the ability to think outside of the box to meet Run For All’s event requirements
  8. A self-motivator; able to work on your own initiative, multi-task and work well under pressure to deliver large mass participation events
  9. Understand the requirements of the organisation and the events to ensure that all events are delivered safely and exceed expectations for all
