We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team as Senior Manager, ESG Media. The Senior Group ESG Media Manager will support the wider media team to strengthen reputation through delivery of external communications, effective handling of reputational media issues and proactive media engagement, and will be responsible for the efficient running of the Group's media governance policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Offer expert advice and insights to the Head of Group Media and Head of Group External Communications on ESG media issues.
  • Lead the strategic management of HSBC's reputation by providing specialist counsel and insights, particularly on ESG media issues, anticipating potential reputational challenges and implementing proactive measures.
  • Take charge of delivering a proactive media strategy focused on Group ESG matters, including climate and societal impact, to enhance HSBC's reputation by aligning media engagements with our values and objectives.
  • Stay ahead of the external news landscape, ensuring that Corporate Media Relations can swiftly and effectively respond to emerging issues.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with influential media stakeholders, positioning HSBC as a trusted and authoritative voice in the industry.
