Bristol Myers Squibb is hiring a Senior Manager, EHSS for its Moreton, UK site. You will own end-to-end COSHH, culture and risk management, reporting to the Director of Site Operations & EHS.
You’ll shape the training framework, govern SOPs, and lead data-driven safety initiatives at a regulated facility. We seek a seasoned EHS leader with 10+ years in regulated environments, NEBOSH Diploma (or Level 6), and professional Chartered status or ongoing.
At Bristol Myers Squibb, our employees often ask, “Who are you working for?”—a question that fuels collaboration, accountability, and urgency in our work. Our purpose-driven culture inspires us to discover, develop, and deliver innovative medicines to prevail over serious diseases. We offer uniquely interesting and meaningful work, opportunities for growth, and a supportive environment that values inclusion, wellbeing, flexibility, and comprehensive benefits. This is work that transforms the lives of patients, and the careers of those who do it. You've built the expertise. Now put it to work where it genuinely matters. After a decade or more in EHS, you know the difference between a role that sounds significant and one that actually is. You're not looking for a title - you're looking for real delivery ownership, a team that values what you bring and a place where your experience translates into meaningful outcomes for real people.
At Bristol Myers Squibb, we're looking for a Senior Manager, EHSS to join our Moreton, UK site - a hands‑on, programme‑owning role that sits within a collaborative EHSS leadership structure and puts you at the forefront of delivery across some of the most critical areas of site safety. Reporting into the Director of Site Operations & EHS with a close working relationship with the Associate Director, EHS, Moreton, who is responsible for the delivery of the defined EHS Strategy, you'll work within a clearly defined and well-supported framework: the AD EHS holds overall responsibility for the EHS strategy delivery and you will hold genuine delivery responsibility for the programmes that bring that strategy to life. You'll have the strategic backing and senior cover to focus on what you do best: executing, improving and driving real outcomes. No ambiguity about your remit. No trying to do everything alone. Just focused, high‑impact delivery with strong leadership around you.
Where your expertise will make an impact
COSHH & Chemical Safety — you'll own this end to end.
Safety Culture - you'll move it forward, not just monitor it.
Risk Assessment - you'll shape how the site understands its risks.
Training Framework - you'll build the system that keeps people competent and safe.
SOPs & Governance - you'll be the standard‑bearer for how things are done.
Emergency Preparedness - you'll be ready before anyone else needs to be.
Workplace Inspections - you'll make sure standards are seen, not just set.
Data & Performance - you'll turn numbers into safer outcomes.
Day‑to‑Day EHSS Leadership — flexible, responsive, trusted.
Clarity of ownership - You'll know exactly what you're responsible for.
Global standards, local impact - Your work will align to BMS Global Standards and internationally recognised management systems, giving your experience genuine credibility and transferability - while your impact will be felt every day by the colleagues you work alongside on site.
A role that strengthens your professional profile - The breadth of your delivery remit here - COSHH, culture, risk, training, emergency response, governance, data - is the kind of comprehensive senior portfolio that accelerates progression towards the most senior EHS roles in the industry.
Strong leadership above and around you – Despite the direct line management rolling up to the Director of Site Operations & EHS, you'll indirectly report into an experienced AD EHS Lead who is responsible for the delivery of the EHS Strategy across site. That means strategic direction, senior backing, and a collaborative team - not isolation at the top.
The context your skills were built for - BMS Moreton is a regulated, complex, and scientifically driven site. It demands the depth of expertise you've spent a career developing. Here, that expertise won't be wasted. This is the role you've been building towards.
Where you work matters – because collaboration, innovation and patient impact happen in many settings.
