Ecotricity is seeking a strategic CRM leader to shape lifecycle strategy, drive engagement and retention, and deliver measurable commercial outcomes while our maternity leave coverage is in place.
You will set the CRM direction, prioritise the roadmap, and collaborate with the CRM Manager, Data, and IT to deliver high‑performing lifecycle programs using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. You’ll be based near Stroud with a weekly office presence.
This role is a 4 month fixed term contract.
CRM is central to Ecotricity’s growth. We’re looking for a strategic leader who can make an immediate impact - sharpening our lifecycle strategy and reducing churn while our current superstar is on maternity leave.
You won’t be building journeys - you’ll be integral in setting the direction, prioritising the roadmap, and elevating the performance of the CRM. Working closely with the CRM Manager (who owns journey build and execution), Data, and IT, you will ensure we deliver high‑performing lifecycle programs that increase engagement, retention, and lifetime value.
You’ll also act as the marketing lead for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ensuring the team uses the platform to its full potential and that CRM becomes a growth engine for the business.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll influence senior stakeholders, shape customer strategy, and drive measurable commercial outcomes.
For this role, you'll need to be based within a reasonable distance and able to travel to our office in Stroud, Gloucestershire as the role requires a weekly office presence.
You’re a strategic CRM leader - someone who knows how to turn lifecycle insight into commercial impact. You understand the mechanics of CRM and experimentation deeply, but your strength lies in strategy, prioritisation, and influencing, not hands‑on build.
The fast moving nature of the business means that from time to time you may be asked to perform duties or tasks outside of your original job description on an ad hoc basis. This allows the company to utilise our people in the best possible way at all times and helps our colleagues to make the best contribution in a changing environment.
Ecotricity is Britain's overall greenest energy company- it’s more than just green energy – the breadth and depth of our work on green issues is unmatched. When we started back in 1995, we were the first company in the world to provide a new kind of electricity - the green kind.
Our mission was, and remains, to change the way energy is made and used in Britain - by replacing fossil fuels with clean, renewable energy.
We don't just supply green energy, we use the money from our customers' bills to make it ourselves too – we have built windmills and sun parks in Britain. We call this turning 'bills into mills'.
We don't just focus on energy though- we built the Electric Highway, Britain's leading network of electric vehicle charging points; we helped Forest Green Rovers become the greenest football club in the world; and we launched Britain's greenest mobile phone service, Ecotalk, where they use the money from their customers' bills to protect and regenerate Britain's lost rainforests.
Ecotricity is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to providing equality for all.
