Job summary

NHS Central East ICB is seeking a Senior Manager Clinical Policies, Audit and Effectiveness to lead policy development, IFR oversight, and cross-team collaboration. You will ensure decisions are evidence-based, legally robust, and aligned with national guidance and local priorities.

Qualifications

Educated to degree level or equivalent in health, care, public services, or management.
Evidence of ongoing professional development (CPD).
Significant senior management experience in a complex health/public service setting.
Registered health care professional where applicable.
Relevant professional qualification where applicable.

Responsibilities

Lead development and implementation of clinical policies aligned with NICE and national frameworks.
Manage IFR process from triage to final decision documentation.
Ensure policy decisions are evidence-based, legally robust and resource-aware.
Collaborate with clinicians, legal advisors, and public health teams.
Monitor impact of policies on service use, outcomes and finances.
