Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is seeking a Senior Management Accounts Assistant to support the Senior Management Accounts Officer in delivering timely financial information for Research & Innovation (R&I) managers and teams.

You will help with costings, project financial returns, monthly reporting, and training budget holders and junior staff within the R&I Finance Team, contributing to efficient services and excellent patient outcomes.

• Assist in the setting of the R&I revenue budgets.
• Assist in the provision of financial support to R&I projects.
• Assist in the training of budget holders in budgetary management and control.
• Assist in the training and development of individuals within the R&I Finance Team.

Job description

The Senior Management Accounts Assistant is responsible for assisting the Senior Management Accounts Officer in providing financial management information and advice to Research & Innovation Managers/teams, thereby assisting them to achieve their financial objectives. The post-holder will assist the Senior Management Accounts Officer in relation to R&I project costings and the completion of project financial returns, the provision of accurate and timely delivery of a suite of financial information that enables R&I, and the Trust, to provide an efficient and effective service within the resources available.
