Job summary

Goodman Masson is seeking a senior management accountant to oversee management accounting and ad-hoc projects for assets in a portfolio. The role requires 1–3 years post-qualified experience, with month-end responsibilities and a drive to broaden into budgeting and analysis.

The successful candidate will partner with internal stakeholders, prepare budgets, and support asset performance through KPI tracking and commentary. Hybrid working pattern: 4 days in office, 1 from home.

Qualifications

• Post-qualified accounting experience in a management accounting role.
• Experience with month-end processes and internal stakeholder reporting.
• Ability to produce budgets and perform variance analysis.
• Experience in business partnering with internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Complete month-end reporting and review full P&Ls and Balance Sheets for assets.
• Produce variance analysis and commentary against budget and history.
• Track asset KPIs and provide ad hoc analyses to stakeholders.
• Prepare annual budgets and reforecast as required.
• Monitor CAPEX and coordinate spend with AP/AR workstreams.
• Review processes and drive improvements.

Working Pattern: 4 days in office, 1 from home

A mid-sized Real Estate business are looking to hire a senior management accountant to look after the management accounting and ad-hoc projects for 3 of the assets in their portfolio.

They are looking for someone with around 1-3 years post qualified experience, has worked in a role previously covering month-end / management accounting responsibilities, but wants to take on additional aspects such as producing budgets, analysis and business partnering with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete month-end reportingand review full P&Ls and Balance Sheets for the assets you look after
• Produce variance analysis and commentary to understand changes against budget and historical performance
• Track performance of assets against relevant KPIs
• Business Partner with internal stakeholders providing ad hoc analysis when requested
• Prepare annual budgets for the assets and reforecasting when required
• Monitor CAPEX and allocate spend appropriately
• Review the work of the AP/AR team ensuring debtors and creditors ledgers are up to date
• Review and improve processes and procedures
