Job summary

An international FMCG group in Rochdale is recruiting a Senior Management Accountant to lead the financial integration of multiple newly acquired businesses. The role involves building and implementing management accounts, producing monthly packs for senior leadership, and supporting budgeting and forecasting. The ideal candidate is CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified with a strong management accounting background and experience leading finance teams. This position offers a salary of £55,000 – £60,000 and hybrid working.

Job description

A PrivateEquity backed international FMCG group inRochdale is recruiting a Senior Management Accountant to support the integration of several recent acquisitions. This is a newly created role that will play a central part in bringing these businesses into the group - setting up financial reporting, building management accounts, and establishing the processes and controls needed for scalable growth.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll have real ownership and influence as the group continues to expand.

The Role
  • Lead the financial integration of multiple newly acquired businesses into the group
  • Build and implement the management accounts framework for these acquisitions
  • Introduce consistent reporting, templates and controls across all entities
  • Produce clear monthly packs and commentary for senior leadership
  • Support group-level reporting requirements for PE investors
  • Deliver accurate month‑end across acquired entities: journals, reconciliations, close
  • Align systems, reporting cycles and chart of accounts following integration
  • Design and improve financial processes with a focus on clarity, speed and accuracy
  • Lead and mentor the management accounts team as capability grows
  • Improve data quality, reporting standards and KPI visibility
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and wider financial planning
  • Provide concise, insight‑led financial support to the CFO
Candidate Profile
  • CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified or finalist
  • Strong management accounting background, ideally multi‑entity or acquisition‑heavy
  • Confident building reporting structures and processes from the ground up
  • Experience leading or developing a small finance team
  • Clear, credible communicator with senior stakeholders
  • Strong systems skills and a practical, solutions‑focused mindset
