Job description

Senior Management Accountant - Media - London - Hybrid

We are currently partnering with WPP media and supporting with hiring for this exciting Senior Management Accountant role. You will play a pivotal role in financial reporting, variance analysis, and driving process efficiencies, collaborating closely with finance and operational teams across the business.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare monthly management accounts for proprietary trading and reconcile total net sales with other WPP Media revenue teams.
• Coordinate monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting, providing insightful variance analysis against forecast and budget.
• Work with FP&A and key stakeholders to ensure media revenue and cost models are timely, accurate, and well-controlled.
• Prepare journal entries, general ledger postings, balance sheet reconciliations, and other month‑end schedules for review.
• Support group reporting through BFC Cartesis, preparing commentaries, reconciliations, and quarterly/year‑end reporting packs.

Requirements for this role:

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Strong Excel skills (including SUMIF(S), Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP).
• Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to prioritise multiple deadlines, adapt to change, and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Experience within the media industry or using DDS/MediaOcean
