Job description

As the Senior Management Accountant you will be accountable for the OU management and financial accounts, overseeing the OU S&A and owning control and governance of the OU balance sheet. You will support the OU Financial Controller and Finance Managers on projects to enable effective financial performance, working closely with the Building Services OU Finance team, Group Reporting and Finance Service Delivery to deliver robust financial reporting and governance. You will also contribute to systems improvements and innovation to enhance processes and reporting.

  • Control and governance of overall OU balance sheet, preparing for quarterly review with OU FC & FD
  • Preparing monthly management pack for LT in Power BI to review
  • Overall S&A management and reporting to review, actively manage relevant admin costs, supporting OU FC with the cost and values of recharged costs
  • Guide and support the management accountant, and ensure overall accountants' duties are covered
  • Preparing the overall OU EY Client Assistance Schedule items, trial balance, balance sheet and reconciliations, and dealing with audit queries
  • Support the quarterly forecast process
  • Key member of the team for Oracle developments and improvements, including being superuser for S&A in QFM
  • Finance Business Partner for a small division of Building Services, Network Solutions
    Excellent systems skills including Oracle
  • Highly data literate, ideally studied for a data apprenticeship, strong Excel & Power Bi skills
  • Able to demonstrate process and reporting improvements
  • This OU has a high volume of projects so can prioritise and deal with many interfaces
  • Facilities Management experience would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
