Job summary

Carrington Blake Recruitment is seeking an experienced planning professional to manage major planning applications and large-scale developments. The role works in a hybrid pattern with in-office Mondays for team meetings, across a 37-hour week.

You will collaborate with developers, landowners, elected members and stakeholders, providing planning advice and progressing complex schemes, while navigating planning processes and legislation.

Qualifications

• Significant Local Authority Planning / Development Management experience.
• Experience managing major developments of 1,000+ units.
• Strong knowledge of planning processes and legislation.
• Experience working with planning committees and elected members.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Planning degree or equivalent; MRTPI desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee major planning applications and large-scale developments.
• Manage major applications involving 1,000+ residential units.
• Meet with developers, landowners and stakeholders.
• Work with elected members and planning committees.
• Provide planning advice and progress complex developments.
• Attend weekly Monday office team meeting.
