Job description
Overview

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Maintenance Worker to work as part of a team under the leadership of the Maintenance & Aesthetics Manager, assisting with the maintenance and repair of the buildings, fixtures and fittings at all Trust sites across Pembrokehsire and Carmarthenshire.

Applicants must have excellent practical skills and a clean full driver’s license.

You must be willing to work flexibly, travelling between the sites and residential houses which are situated in different areas of the county.

You will be required to lead on projects and carry out skilled jobs in your area of expertise such as carpentry/joinery, electrician, plumber.

Responsibilities
  • You will be required to carry out all aspects of maintenance in the Trust sites, including residential provision and gardens, with the exception of gas and electrical works (unless qualified).
  • To ensure that the materials used and work carried out supports the aesthetics of the Trust and the site.
  • The post holder will be required to join team projects as required and carry out outdoor building projects, including landscaping and fencing, both on the College site and the Residential provision.
Qualifications / Success criteria
  • Have experience in coordinating projects, emergency and preventative works
  • Have knowledge in health and safety working practices
  • Hold significant experience in a specific Trade/Area of expertise
  • Be able to deliver excellent service through taking responsibility for what you do
  • Be able to work in a collaborative manner with many different teams within the Trust.
