Job description
What will I be doing?

You’ll be ensuring our STV 1,2 & 3 energy recovery plant is fully operational at all times. Day‑to‑day, you’ll plan and carry out a range of maintenance activities, deputise for a team leader when necessary, manage contractors on‑site while making sure safety, health and environmental standards are adhered to at all times. A cost‑effective approach is important too, but best practice is crucial. Using your knowledge and experience, you’ll lead junior members of maintenance team to perform at their best and provide specialist advice whenever required.

What are the requirements?

This is a role for a confident professional who has worked in a heavy industry in a hands‑on maintenance role before. You’ll have an HNC in Instrumentation or equivalent experience, and good working knowledge of environmental legislation. A Health & Safety qualification would be great but we’re more interested in your ability to lead a team, explain technical matters clearly, and improve plant availability.

We’d love to hear from ex‑military personnel—your skills, discipline, and experience are a great fit for our team. If you’ve served and have the right experience, we'd like to encourage you to apply!
