Job description
Senior Maintenance Surveyor (26182)

Location: London, Liverpool Street. Hybrid working – 2 days office based per week. Permanent, full‑time (37.5 hours per week). Salary circa £60,000 to £65,000 per annum, based on skills and experience, with excellent benefits. We can't offer CoS for this role!

What you’ll do
  • Lead and develop a team of Maintenance Surveyors to deliver the right output, content and quality services.
  • Support customers by solving challenges and improving property standards.
  • Manage performance, and provide strategic direction for the surveying team.
  • Lead by example across inspections, preparation of specifications, and ensuring repairs standards are met.
  • Be the technical expert and lead on complex repairs, damp and mould, disrepair, adaptations and HHSRS.
  • Keep track of budgets and influence how we deliver great value.
You have
  • RICS, CIOB accredited Building Surveying degree or equivalent qualification and/or strong experience built up through your working profession.
  • A PCA QT level qualification or a willingness to complete this qualification.
  • Great knowledge of housing legislation, HHSRS and building compliance.
  • Confidence with damp and mould advice and managing complex repairs.
  • A self‑starter mindset with care and attention to detail.
  • A collaborative way of working and clear, calm communication skills.
The practical bits
  • You’ll work Monday to Friday.
  • You’ll manage your own diary, so if you want to take a longer lunch, you can use your flexi time to manage that.
  • To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. We’ll pay your mileage.
  • You need a Basic DBS check done; we pay for that.
