Job summary

Yunex Traffic is seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer to perform routine and corrective maintenance of traffic signal assets and highways systems. The role involves inspections, electrical testing, data collection, and commissioning of installations.

You will support emergency repairs and ongoing NHSS and technical training to ensure high safety standards. Based in the UK, you will work on-site with a focus on reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement, contributing to safer, smarter

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Proficiency with product-specific software and IT systems.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexible and proactive approach to learning.
• Experience outdoors and at heights is desirable.
• Experience testing electrical equipment in industrial environments is desirable.
• Experience with traffic signal equipment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance of traffic signal assets and highways systems.
• Conduct periodic inspections and electrical testing of traffic signal infrastructure.
• Collect and process data to enable fault-free analysis of equipment performance.
• Analyse performance data to ensure contractual compliance and maintain records.
• Support emergency repairs and out-of-hours service requirements.
• Commission traffic signal installations and ancillary systems.
• Complete NHSS training and ongoing technical training as needed.
• Comply with Health & Safety procedures and mitigate hazards.
• Carry out other duties as requested within the role scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance of traffic signal assets, ancillary equipment, and highways systems
• Conduct periodic inspections and electrical testing of traffic signal infrastructure
• Collect and process data to enable fault-free analysis of equipment performance
• Analyse performance data to ensure contractual compliance and maintain accurate records
• Support emergency repairs and out-of-hours service contract requirements
• Commission traffic signal installations and ancillary systems
• Complete mandatory NHSS training and undertake ongoing technical training as needed
• Comply with all Health & Safety procedures and proactively identify and mitigate hazards
• Carry out any other duties reasonably requested within the scope of the role

Key Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Proficient in product-specific software and IT systems
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Flexible and adaptable with a proactive approach to learning
• Experience working at heights and outdoors (desirable)
• Experience testing electrical equipment in industrial environments (desirable)
• Previous experience with traffic signal and ancillary equipment (desirable)
