Job summary

Yunex Traffic is hiring a Senior Maintenance Engineer to perform routine and corrective maintenance on traffic signal assets and highways systems. You will inspect, test, and analyse data, ensuring contractual compliance while supporting emergency repairs and out-of-hours service needs.

The role requires a Full UK Driving Licence, proficiency with traffic-related IT systems, and a proactive learning mindset. This on-site position offers development opportunities and a strong pension package.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Proficient in product-specific software and IT systems.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexible and adaptable with a proactive approach to learning.
• Experience working at heights and outdoors is desirable.
• Experience testing electrical equipment in industrial environments is desirable.
• Previous experience with traffic signal and ancillary equipment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance of traffic signal assets, ancillary equipment, and highways systems.
• Conduct periodic inspections and electrical testing of traffic signal infrastructure.
• Collect and process data to enable fault-free analysis of equipment performance.
• Analyse performance data to ensure contractual compliance and maintain accurate records.
• Support emergency repairs and out-of-hours service contract requirements.
• Commission traffic signal installations and ancillary systems.
• Complete mandatory NHSS training and undertake ongoing technical training as needed.
• Comply with all Health & Safety procedures and proactively identify and mitigate hazards.
• Carry out any other duties reasonably requested within the scope of the role.
