Job summary

Alpine F1 Team in Enstone is seeking a Senior Machinist to lead the Metallics Production cell on the Weekday Days shift (Tue–Fri). You will coach machinists, set priorities, and ensure components meet exacting specifications for our Formula 1 programme.

The role requires strong leadership, a solid engineering background, and experience with Mazak equipment, ERP systems and MS Office. You will drive safety, quality and continuous improvement across the team.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in manufacturing/engineering.
• People management skills.
• Problem-solving and organisational abilities.
• Engineering background with ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Experience with Mazak equipment.
• Experience meeting quality and delivery standards.
• Strong communication across teams.
• Experience with MS Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of machinists.
• Drive team performance through feedback, performance reviews and one-to-one meetings.
• Set daily production priorities and ensure delivery against targets.
• Manage resources, attendance and absences to maintain production efficiency.
• Ensure components are produced to specification and meet quality standards.
• Resolve production, scheduling and quality issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Develop team capability through training, skills development and succession planning.
• Create and maintain skills matrices to identify critical skills and development opportunities.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and performance.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and highly engaged working environment.
