Job summary

Depop is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Scientist to join the Pricing team in the UK. You will design and deploy ML models powering pricing recommendations and shipping pricing strategies, collaborating with product managers, engineers and analysts.

You will lead high-impact projects, mentor teammates, and drive experiments with rigorous statistical approaches while aligning with business constraints and goals.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Machine Learning Scientist delivering and scaling models.
• Deep understanding of ML concepts with production experience.
• Experience with causal inference, uplift modelling, or optimisation under constraints.
• Strong Python skills and production-grade coding ability.
• Ability to lead end-to-end ML projects and mentor teammates.
• Strong collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and deliver robust ML solutions for pricing and shipping models.
• Lead productionisation and scaling of models with backend engineers.
