Overview

Senior Quantity Surveyor - London (Major M&E Projects)

Location: Central & Greater London
Discipline: Commercial
Contract Type: Permanent

I'm currently working with a leading M&E contractor who are looking to bring on an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support multiple large-scale projects across London.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business with a strong pipeline of work, delivering high-value mechanical and electrical packages (circa £10m+) on commercial and data centre projects.

Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of defined scopes of work, ensuring cost, quality, and commercial objectives are achieved.
  • Measure from plan drawings and isometrics to produce detailed bills of quantities, including labour hours and material costs.
  • Track costs, labour, and project progress against budget and earned value schedules.
  • Prepare and manage cost plans, valuations, payment certificates, and final accounts.
  • Manage subcontractor packages from procurement through to final account agreement.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and payment conditions under the Construction Act.
  • Produce accurate monthly commercial reports, CCS submissions, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and professional development within the commercial team.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS within the building services / M&E sector.
  • Strong commercial and contractual understanding.
  • Ability to manage multiple packages across complex projects.
  • Proficient in cost control, measurement, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental systems.
  • A proactive approach to personal development and mentoring junior team members.
