Due to growth in Wales and the South‑West, we are looking to recruit a Managing / Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor with significant experience in Mechanical and Electrical systems to support and grow the M&E cost management team in the region.  The role will provide an opportunity, now or in the future, to grow and lead the MEP offering in Wales with peers across the business delivering best‑in‑class service.

Responsibilities
  • Full quantity surveying and cost management duties.
  • Provision of pre and post contract advice.
  • Ensure the highest quality service delivery to clients.
  • Provide high‑quality MEP cost advice on complex projects across a range of sectors.
  • Guidance, care and mentoring of supporting staff.
Qualifications

  • Experience of, or a desire to be part of our business development activity, increasing share of client spend, accessing higher‑margin work, cross‑selling our services and locations.
  • Technical leadership: provide stakeholders with specialised M&E advice to broaden legal and technical knowledge and participate in training initiatives.
  • In depth knowledge and experience of Mechanical and Electrical systems, associated costs and where such costs can be determined.
  • Demonstrable track record delivering MEP cost management services.
  • Advise clients on key MEP cost drivers, project costs and value engineering.
  • Feasibility and cost planning, procurement advice, tender documentation, and post‑contract services.
  • Effective knowledge of a range of project procurement options.
  • Work with minimum supervision.
  • Experience in client, consultant & contractor facing roles and working as a busy team member.
  • Excellent communication skills.
