A prominent UK health institution is inviting applications for two twelve-month fellowship positions in Neuro-ophthalmology and Strabismus at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. Candidates will engage in outpatient clinics and participate in surgeries under supervision. The fellowship offers a chance to work with esteemed consultants in a leading ophthalmic unit. Interested candidates should ensure GMC registration or apply through the International Fellowship Scheme.
The Fellow will participate in outpatient clinics undertaking diagnosis, management and follow up of patients under the care of the Consultants. He or she will undertake surgery both under supervision and, where appropriate, unsupervised. The Fellow attends outpatient clinic sessions and dedicated operating sessions under the direction of the Consultant trainers.

Applications are invited for two twelve‑month fellowship posts in Neuro‑ophthalmology and Strabismus in one of the largest provincial ophthalmic units in the UK. One post commences the 1st week of August 2026 and the second post commences in February 2027.
The fellowship is based at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. The Neuro‑ophthalmology firm has three consultant ophthalmologists – Mr Vishwanath, Mr Yagan and Miss Littlewood – in addition to a consultant neurologist, Dr Zermansky. The unit is supported by a large orthoptic department headed by Mrs Veronica Greenwood, and an electrophysiology department headed by Professor Neil Parry.
Candidates who are not GMC registered at the point of application will be considered for this position under the Trust's International Fellowship Scheme, which includes a £500 administrative charge. More information on the scheme is available on our website (link in the job description).
