Job summary

Legends Global in Sheffield's City Hall delivers world-class events. As a Senior Technician you will provide technical expertise and operational support across live entertainment, corporate and community events, ensuring the venue is event-ready and compliant.

You will supervise technicians, contribute to developing the team and act as Duty Manager when required, coordinating with clients, visiting productions and internal teams to deliver outstanding experiences.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of live event production, including sound, lighting, AV and rigging systems.
• Experience operating technical equipment in live entertainment venues.
• Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supervising or mentoring team members.
• Strong health and safety understanding in live events.
• Flexible and self-motivated; able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical support for events, including setup, operation and breakdown of staging, seating, rigging, sound, lighting and AV equipment.
• Act as a key technical contact for clients and visiting productions, providing advice and ensuring requirements are met.
• Ensure all technical equipment and setups are safe, compliant and follow venue procedures.
• Supervise and support Technicians and Casual Technicians, assisting with training and daily tasks.
• Support maintenance and stock control of venue equipment and facilities.
• Act as Duty Manager when required, supporting operations and health & safety procedures.
