A local council library is seeking a part-time Senior Library Assistant to support services in Birmingham. The role includes managing customer queries, stock selection, and event organization. The ideal candidate should possess excellent customer skills and show a commitment to providing library services. Flexibility in working hours including alternate Saturdays and one evening per week is expected.
An opportunity has arisen to recruit to a permanent part‑time position at 18.25 hours per week within Reader Services at the Library of Birmingham. We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with excellent customer skills to join the team working in a busy frontline library service.
Reader Services offer a range of facilities and materials that support formal and informal learning in addition to reading for leisure and pleasure. The service encompasses adult fiction and non‑fiction on the busy lending terraces together with subject information collections, public computers and study spaces on levels 2 and 3 of the Library of Birmingham.
