Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is seeking a senior solicitor to join as Head of Legal for Commercial and Projects. You will lead a team within Legal Services, advise on complex contracts, procurement and major regeneration projects, and act as a Director of First North Law.

This role offers the opportunity to shape commercial legal services for the Council and external clients, with a proactive, commercially minded approach and a track record of delivering pragmatic, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Senior solicitor with leadership experience in commercial and projects work.
• Ability to deliver pragmatic, cost-effective legal solutions for council and external clients.
• Experience advising on complex contracts, procurement and regeneration projects.

Responsibilities

• Head of Legal for Commercial and Projects; lead a team within Legal Services.
• Director of First North Law LLP involvement for delivering legal services.
