Uniper is seeking a Legal Counsel to support renewables and projects across the UK. You will advise on development, acquisition, construction and operation of solar, wind and storage projects, drafting and negotiating complex agreements, and guiding regulatory strategy.

The role requires strong post-qualification experience in energy law, with a pragmatic, commercially minded approach and the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor, barrister or equivalent with relevant post-qualification experience.
• Strong renewable energy project experience, especially solar, battery energy storage systems and wind.
• Ability to draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, especially in construction and project development.
• Solid understanding of the UK energy regulatory framework and related permitting/licensing.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a dynamic, global environment.
• Pragmatic, commercially minded lawyer with risk and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsabilités

• Provide business-oriented legal advice on development, acquisition, construction and operation of renewable energy projects across the UK.
• Support solar, onshore wind and battery energy storage systems.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and project documentation.
• Identify and manage legal risks while enabling commercially sound outcomes.
• Collaborate with project development, commercial, procurement, regulatory and compliance teams.
• Select and manage external law firms, including quality and cost management.
• Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments in the UK renewables sector and advise on impact.
