Job summary

Primark is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel (Omnichannel) in Reading, UK, on a fixed-term, full-time basis. You will act as a strategic legal partner across ecommerce, digital, and logistics, advising senior stakeholders and guiding cross-functional teams.

You will draft and negotiate complex agreements, manage regulatory risk, and help shape business decisions while building a high-performing legal function to support Primark's omnichannel growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 7-10+ years' post-qualification experience.
• Experience advising senior stakeholders on legal risk, business strategy, and complex transformation or change programmes.
• Strong drafting, negotiating, and advising on a broad range of complex commercial agreements.
• Ability to build trusted relationships and influence decision-making across an organisation.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Legal Partnering: provide commercially focused legal advice supporting Primark's omnichannel growth across ecommerce, customer engagement, digital, logistics, and technology initiatives.
• Lead Commercial Negotiations: draft, negotiate, and conclude complex commercial agreements with stakeholders and external counsel.
• Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: build relationships with Technology, Digital, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and People & Culture to deliver practical legal solutions.
• Shape Business Decision-Making: influence strategic and operational decisions with risk-based legal guidance for stakeholders at all levels.
• Strengthen Legal Operations & Capability: drive process improvements and knowledge sharing within the legal function.
• Manage Risk & Regulatory Compliance: monitor developments, liaise with compliance teams and external advisers, and support expansion ambitions.
