Senior Legal Counsel

An established and growing organisation is seeking an experienced commercial lawyer to join its in-house legal function in a senior capacity. Reporting into a highly regarded leadership team, this role offers the opportunity to work closely with key decision-makers across the business, providing strategic legal advice on a broad range of commercial matters.

The Opportunity

This is a varied and business-facing position suited to a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys partnering with stakeholders and helping drive organisational objectives. You will play a key role in supporting commercial initiatives, managing legal risk, and contributing to major strategic projects across the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing pragmatic legal advice to senior stakeholders across the business.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Advising on regulatory, governance and compliance matters.
• Supporting strategic projects, business transformations and commercial initiatives.
• Managing external counsel where required.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple business functions and jurisdictions.

About You

• Qualified solicitor or barrister in England & Wales.
• Ideally 8+ years' PQE, although applications from individuals with relevant experience outside this range will be considered.
• Strong commercial contracts and negotiation experience.
• Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and operating in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to balance legal risk with commercial objectives and deliver practical solutions.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and influencing skills.
