A specialized service company in Aberdeen is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to support their UK and European operations. This role involves acting as a trusted business partner, dealing with legal issues related to contract, construction, and commercial law. EnerMech have a vacancy for a Senior Legal Counsel to cover our UK and Europe regions. You will act as a trusted business partner, and, as part of the global legal team, you will actively shape the transformation of our organisation while ensuring the legal interests of EnerMech are attended to.
Reporting to the USA-based General Counsel, you will independently support our regional business and regional management in all legal issues, with a focus on contract law, construction law, and commercial law. Additionally you will be involved with disputes, strategic initiatives, transformation processes, ensuring compliance and conducting employee training.

You should be qualified and licensed with at least 2 years’ of experience of work handled within the energy / oil & gas industry within the UK and Europe.
You will have experience with litigation activities, reviewing, negotiating and drafting commercial contracts and a strong business acumen.
The role will mainly be based in our Aberdeen office so ideally you will live within commuting distance or be open to relocation from another part of the UK.
