Job summary

Teesside University in the School of Social Sciences, Humanities & Law invites applications for a full-time Senior Lecturer in Education (Primary and Early Years). The role focuses on developing and delivering our ITT portfolio, with teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and substantial time in partner schools observing trainees.

The successful candidate will hold a first degree in Early Childhood Studies or Primary Education, QTS/EYTS, and a track record in primary teaching

Qualifications

• First degree in Early Childhood Studies or Primary Education.
• QTS or EYTS or equivalent.
• Significant experience of primary teaching across EYFS and 5-11.
• Track record of mentoring trainees and contributing to teacher development.
• Some experience with Ofsted inspections would be valuable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead ITT courses in early years and primary.
• Deliver teaching face-to-face and online.
• Observe trainee teachers in partner schools and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with academic colleagues and external partners.
