Job summary

University College Birmingham is seeking a Senior Lecturer in Paramedic Science to join the Social Work and Health Care Apprenticeships team in Birmingham. The role focuses on developing and delivering the Paramedic Science apprenticeship provision, with leadership in curriculum and assessment.

You will be HCPC-registered Paramedic with a degree in Paramedic Science, bringing current professional knowledge and a commitment to inclusive, practice-informed education and strong student outcomes.

Qualifications

Registered Paramedic with the HCPC.
Degree-level qualification in Paramedic Science.
Experience in learning, teaching and assessment within paramedic or healthcare education.
Commitment to inclusive, practice-informed education and successful student outcomes.

Responsibilities

Lead curriculum development and the operation of the Paramedic Science apprenticeship provision.
Design and deliver engaging, inclusive learning including simulation and digital learning.
Provide high-quality academic and pastoral support throughout the apprentice journey.
Contribute to programme leadership, quality enhancement and monitoring apprentice engagement, progression and achievement.
Build productive relationships with employers, practice partners and professional bodies.
