Job summary

King’s College London is seeking a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Education to contribute to teaching, leadership, and scholarship within the Centre for Education in the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine. You will support MA Clinical Education, the blended MSc in Health Professions Education, and related programmes, while advancing education research and scholarly activity.

Qualifications

PhD in a subject relevant to health professions education.
SFHEA or relevant teaching qualification.
Knowledge of curriculum design and assessment.
Evidence of pedagogical scholarship and research published in peer‑reviewed journals.
Experience teaching learning theory and practice to interprofessional postgraduate groups.
Ability to develop learning materials with colleagues and supervise learners.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, deliver and assess the Centre’s postgraduate Clinical Education modules.
Take module leadership and responsibility for teaching and assessment.
Deputise for programme director and chair assessment sub‑board when needed.
Act as personal tutor for master’s students and coordinate tutors.
Supervise and assess master’s dissertations and support PhD students.
Monitor student progress and engage in programme enhancement and development.
