Job summary

The University of Chester is seeking a Senior Lecturer in ITE (Art and Design Secondary Lead) on a part-time basis (0.3 FTE) to join the School of Education. You will contribute to the leadership, development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate ITE provision and teach across courses.

Applicants should hold QTS, a Master’s degree or be actively working towards one, and have significant experience in ITE within school or higher education, with a strong grasp of national policy affecting

The School of Education at the University of Chester is a dynamic and growing school with a strong reputation for excellence in teacher education. Delivering a range of undergraduate and postgraduate Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programmes, we are committed to developing the next generation of outstanding educators.

We are seeking to appoint an Art and Design secondary specialist who is an experienced, highly qualified education professional able to contribute to the leadership, development, and delivery of our undergraduate and postgraduate ITE provision. Successful candidates will teach across courses.

Applicants should hold:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• A Master's degree (or equivalent), or be actively working towards a Master's-level qualification.
• Significant experience within Initial Teacher Education in either a school or higher education setting.
• A strong and current understanding of the national policy landscape relating to schools, universities, and teacher education.
