Reed FE are currently seeking a Senior Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team on an ongoing basis. This role is crucial in helping and supporting students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities to fully participate in their college experience and achieve their learning goals.

Senior Learning Support Assistant

• Job Type: Ongoing Temp ( Term time only)
• Location: Surrey
• Working Hours: 8:45 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday

Day-to-day of the role of a Senior LSA:

• Under the leadership of the ALS Manager and ALS Coordinator, guide and support other Learning Support Assistants within the team.
• Work closely with teaching staff to assist designated students, either in groups or individually, in line with their learning or support plans.
• Ensure effective communication and support strategies are employed to facilitate the learning and development of students with special needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications for the Senior LSA role:

• Qualified to at least Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy.
• Proven experience working in classes supporting students with learning needs at a school or college.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working with children or adults with special learning needs.
• Competent IT skills with the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
