Job summary

Barclays Head of Colleague Development is responsible for accelerating leadership, commercial, professional and behavioural capability across UK Corporate Banking. You will design and deliver impactful development solutions, foster a strong coaching culture, and translate learning into measurable business outcomes.

Based in Northampton, with regional travel 1–2 days per week, you will partner with senior leaders to close capability gaps, embed coaching-led practices, and drive high performance

Qualifications

  • Experience designing and delivering engaging learning and development programmes for a range of audiences.
  • Expertise in facilitation, including leading workshops, learning events and group discussions.
  • Experience creating high-quality learning content across multiple formats.
  • Willingness to travel regionally as required, typically 1-2 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver executive and leadership coaching that improves individual, team and organisational performance.
  • Design and facilitate development interventions that build critical capabilities to deliver UKCB strategy.
  • Partner with senior leaders to identify capability gaps and performance opportunities aligned to business priorities.
  • Lead and embed coaching-led leadership practices across UKCB.
  • Deliver team effectiveness and Insights Discovery programmes that strengthen collaboration, communication, and leadership impact.
  • Support leadership, talent, and succession initiatives to build a future-ready workforce.
