Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group seeks a Stellar Senior Lead Platform Engineer to build and run cloud-based trading infrastructure. You will own SRE for non-production, drive CI/CD adoption, and guide product teams on deployment pipelines across multiple cloud environments.

You will mentor juniors, optimize costs under FinOps, and champion security and reliable operations in a highly regulated financial setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent CI/CD understanding with hands-on experience.
• Solid IaC principles; Terraform for building AWS Infra.
• Extensive experience in CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab.
• Experience with container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
• Experience deploying apps to Kubernetes.
• Hands-on config management with Ansible or similar.
• Experience with code analysis and security tools: Coverity, Black Duck.
• Scripting in Groovy, Bash or Python.
• Monitoring with Datadog or similar.
• Scaled Agile delivery experience.
• Ability to use a wide range of Open-source tools.
• Experience with Anthos/GKE Enterprise on AWS (Preferred).
• Proficiency securing cloud-native apps and infrastructure.
• Cross-regional & timezone collaboration.
• Mentoring junior teammates.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain cloud-based infrastructure for trading platforms.
• Serve as SRE for non-production environments and own platform quality.
• Support complex application stacks across multiple cloud environments.
• Automate deployment of cloud resources for high availability, performance, cost control and security.
• Contribute to FinOps and cost optimization initiatives.
• Advance DevOps practices and deployment pipelines from dev to prod.
• Guide product teams through deployment strategies and best practices.
• Mentor junior team members and promote a one-team culture.
