Job summary

Achuman Capital is assisting a top-tier international law firm in Manchester to recruit a Senior Associate for its Catastrophic Injury team. The role involves leading high-stakes injury matters, advising insurers and corporate clients, and shaping strategy across motor, employers’ liability, and public liability claims.

The successful candidate will manage complex litigation, mentor junior lawyers, and drive client relationships to support continued growth of the practice.

Qualifications

• 4-11 years’ PQE in catastrophic/personal injury law.
• Catastrophic/personal injury law experience is essential.
• Strong academics and technically excellent.
• Willingness to engage in business development.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead catastrophic injury matters across motor, employers’ liability and public liability claims.
• Develop case strategy and manage high-value litigation.
• Take ownership of significant cases and advise on liability and quantum.
• Work with experts and counsel, supervise junior lawyers, and mentor team members.
• Support client relationships and contribute to the practice’s growth.

The Role:

The successful candidate will join a market-leading Catastrophic Injury team, advising major motor and composite insurers, London market insurers and corporate clients on complex, high-value injury claims involving serious and life-changing injuries.

The role will involve leading catastrophic injury matters across motor, employers' liability and public liability claims, developing case strategy and managing sensitive and high-profile litigation. The successful candidate will take ownership of significant cases, advise clients on liability and quantum, work closely with experts and counsel, supervise and mentor junior lawyers and contribute to key client relationships and the continued growth of the practice.

• 4-11 years’ PQE;
