Job summary

Huntingdonshire District Council is seeking a Senior Landscape Officer to lead landscape and biodiversity matters across Planning Services. You will advise on major applications and Environmental Impact Assessments, influencing development to protect and enhance the district’s landscapes and habitats.

As lead specialist, you will work with developers, consultants and elected members, delivering Biodiversity Net Gain and environmental initiatives while building strong partnerships and ensuring

Qualifications

• Experience assessing landscape and biodiversity impacts.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders and presenting recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Assess planning applications and development proposals.
• Provide guidance on landscape and biodiversity issues.
• Contribute to environmental policy development.
• Represent the Council at appeals, inquiries and other proceedings.
