Job summary

Mattinson Partnership is seeking Senior Landscape Architect/Landscape Planner to lead landscape planning and LVIA work in London, with options for Manchester. The role supports a varied portfolio from residential to national infrastructure projects and offers progression towards Chartered status.

Candidates will manage client relationships, contribute to masterplanning and design, and work within a multidisciplinary team while developing professional skills and industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• Degree in Landscape Architecture or a relevant degree with strong interest in landscape planning.
• Experience or interest in landscape planning; not primarily a detailed landscape design role.
• Experience in or exposure to LVIAs and NSIPs is desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Chartered Institute membership or progression towards Chartership, or willingness to work towards it.
• Good IT skills including CAD/Vectorworks and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Ability to work confidently with clients, consultants and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Support or lead preparation of LVIAs with high-quality outputs.
• Conduct site appraisals, baseline landscape analysis and photography.
• Manage smaller projects with available support as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across planning, masterplanning, ecology and transport.
• Contribute to landscape design, mitigation strategies and masterplanning.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and stakeholder engagement.
• Develop professional knowledge through CPD and networking.
• For senior roles, develop client relationships and contribute to business development.
