Job summary

A leading landscape architecture firm in the UK is seeking a Chartered Member to lead design and delivery of landscape projects. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Landscape Architecture and at least two years of experience post-chartership. Responsibilities include preparing project specifications, managing CAD systems, and representing the team in multidisciplinary initiatives.   • Prepare drawings and safety plans, and manage IT systems.
  • Write reports for senior stakeholders.
Job description
What you’ll do
  • Lead the design and delivery of landscape architecture projects from inception to final completion.
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, health & safety plans (CDM), and Equality Assessments.
  • Manage IT systems and CAD tools within the team.
  • Write and present reports to senior stakeholders and council committees.
  • Develop bids for external funding and contribute to Section 106 Agreements.
  • Conduct site appraisals, prepare cost estimates, and oversee procurement and contract administration.
  • Represent the team in multidisciplinary regeneration initiatives.
  • Supervise junior staff and maintain quality assurance standards.
About You

You will be a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute with:

  • A degree and postgraduate qualification in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years’ post-chartership experience in a landscape design office.
  • Strong project management and design skills, including proficiency in CAD and graphic software.
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe and Microsoft packages.
  • Experience in contract management, CDM regulations, and stakeholder engagement.
  • A commitment to CPD and an understanding of BIM in multidisciplinary projects.
Desirable Skills
  • Ability to prepare 3D sketches and presentation materials.
  • Experience in developing external funding bids.
  • Supervisory experience with junior staff.
