If you would like the opportunity to join a thriving and growing team, Addleshaw Goddard are looking for a Senior Knowledge Development Lawyer to play a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s knowledge strategy and supporting our market leading Real Estate Finance Practice.

Our Knowledge Lawyers play a vital role in the firm to develop, maintain, and enhance the team’s knowledge resources, precedents, training programmes, and best practice policies. This is a pivotal role supporting both internal fee earners and client‑facing initiatives, with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and technical excellence.

You can expect to be involved in thought‑leadership, shaping client strategy, and ensuring best practice, enabling the team to work in a smarter, informed and more efficient way whilst also assisting with improved client engagement.

What You’ll Do:
  • Contribution to internal and client knowledge by designing and implementing comprehensive training sessions, workshops, and seminars to lawyers and clients on key topics and emerging trends in real estate finance.
  • Produce client‑facing articles in collaboration with the wider team and support business development initiatives by contributing to client briefings, pitches and proposals.
  • Precedent Development and Management: Draft, update, and maintain a comprehensive suite of REF precedents, including fee letters (arrangement, agency, prepayment), duty of care documents, debentures, facility agreements, completion undertakings, subordination deeds, and ancillary documents.
Who We’re Looking For:
  • UK qualified solicitor with significant post‑qualification experience in real estate finance.
  • Strong technical expertise in real estate finance transactions, including drafting and negotiating facility agreements, security documents, and related documentation.
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to distil complex legal concepts into clear, practical guidance.
  • Experience with legal technology and automation tools is highly desirable.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and able to work independently to drive projects forward.
