Shape the future of news on social media. We're on a mission to make BBC News the most trusted and most watched news brand on social media – reaching audiences across the UK and around the world. Central to this is growing our presence on YouTube by creating platform‑native, audience‑first content that resonates with younger audiences and those who have little or no relationship with the BBC. As a Video Creator in the BBC News Social Media Team you'll play a pivotal role in translating the BBC's world‑class journalism into visual formats that make stories feel relevant, accessible and engaging. You'll work closely with teams in the BBC Newsroom covering some of the biggest stories of our time, from breaking news to global conflicts and deep investigations, and bring their reporting to life in ways that connect with digital‑first audiences. While your primary focus will be YouTube, you'll also contribute to our wider social strategy – helping to build trust, drive reach and grow brand affinity across platforms like TikTok and Instagram. This is your chance to help reinvent how BBC News shows up off‑platform, as well as on our app and website, and shape the way millions experience BBC journalism.
BBC News runs some of the largest and most influential social media news accounts in the world, reaching millions of people across the UK and globally every single day. Our social team is at the forefront of digital journalism – constantly evolving to ensure the BBC's trusted reporting connects with audiences wherever they are. If you're a creator with a passion for storytelling and impact, this is your chance to help deliver trusted, engaging news to millions daily. You'll be part of a team that's reinventing how news is experienced on social platforms, building trust in BBC News, fighting disinformation and shaping the future of journalism for the next generation.
