Job summary

JPMorganChase in Glasgow seeks a Software Engineer III to join the Corporate Technology Credit Risk team. You will design and deliver secure, scalable Java-based applications and responsive frontend features with React, driving risk workflows and analytics across credit risk platforms.

You will work in an agile environment, contribute to architecture and design artifacts, and leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve quality and delivery while upholding security and resiliency standards.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, development, testing and stability.
• Proficiency in Java for backend development with modern frameworks.
• Experience with React or similar frontend frameworks.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and evaluating AI outputs.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and enterprise-grade security standards.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD in large teams.
• Ability to debug and maintain code in a large corporate tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure, high-quality Java-based applications and services.
• Build and maintain responsive front-end features using React.
