Henderson Scott is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer for Equity Swaps Technology in Glasgow. The role is hybrid, requiring 2 days per week in the office, with the team delivering high-performance, real-time trade processing systems for Equity Swaps.

You will design and build lifecycle components, work with Kafka/Flink, Docker, and Kubernetes, and collaborate across Architecture, Product, QA, and BI teams to optimise workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong software development experience in Java (Java 17/21).
• Experience with real-time data streaming platforms like Kafka or Flink.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core lifecycle components for real-time data processing.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Product, QA and Business Analysis teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and integrate AI-assisted coding tools into daily tasks.
• Coordinate with Production Management to enable automated deployments and ensure platform stability.
• Ensure solutions are well-documented, observable, and covered by automated tests.
